FAQ

Stock Photography

We are in quite a hurry for this I would need the image by tomorrow at the latest - No problem, once you have selected an image and we have agreed terms, a high resolution file can be on your computer within an hour. The downloaded jpeg file will be between 1Mb and 10Mbs and produce a Tiff around 18Mb or 60Mb. If the image is a 300 dpi drum scan it has been drum scanned to roughly 19 inches by 12 inches and can be downloaded immediately. The A3 drum scan jpeg file can vary between 7 and 14Mb and produces a 60Mb Tiff file image. If you want an image that has not been scanned or a larger file than the one available then an extra scanning and e transfer charge can be levied. The A5 scan would take an extra hour to delivery where the A3 would take up to a week but has being delivered within two working days.

Do you sell Royal Free (RF) images? - No all my images are licenced giving me control over the images I sell so I can protect my customers and provide a quality service.

Can you give us some kind of idea of price for the use of any of your photos? - Prices vary greatly depend on the images usage. I need to know at least the following:

Use the quote form Stock Quote

What is the largest size you can produce with the 60Mb Tiff 300 dpi drum scan? - This size of file can be interpolated and has produced top quality work up to 3 metres long but I can get larger files on request. My original 6cm by 4.5cm transparancy can produce larger Tiff drum scans and I have previously electronically transferred a 200Mb Tiff (20Mb jpeg) to a customer.

My email system can not handle large files - I normally send an email with an URL to the image you have selected. You or your designer/printer then can click on the images URL when it suits you to download the image onto you computer at your convenience.

Buying a Print

Can you tell me the cost of a print? - My price structure can be found at the following web page Print Prices

How do I pay for a print? - If you are in the thumbnail photograph pages, note the thumbnail number and click the "Buy a Print" in the menu tab. This will take you to my secure server Buy a Print form. so you can pass your debit or credit card and postal details. If you prefer to send a cheque fill the debit card details boxes with xxxx's and put in the comment box that you are sending a cheque for that amount.

What is the largest size of print available? - A 40 inches by 30 inches is the largest print to be turned around within two days.

How is the photo quality? - Top quality, the print is on Fuji photographic paper and printed by a professional printer with years of experiences in producing photographic prints for professional photographers.

Can you tell me what the price would be in US dollars? - I only deal with UK currency at the moment and my credit card facility is also calculated in GB pounds but you can get a rough idea of the price by using the US dollar calculator at www.xe.com
